ive been thinking about the music i play alot, my guitars, my understanding of the music i play, my abilities which i have improved over the months, and when i look back, im unable to imagine myself without these. id just be some uninteresting person in my opinion, somehow my music gives me character, personality, something to look forward to, something to add flavour into my everyday life.

having played for 2 years already, im finally aiming for that grade 5 in electric guitar. (yes there's graded exams for elec, go check it out, its not the same as your classical exams etc) its really sad that Adnan's decided to go pursue his studies in music at JIT (music university in california). So he's leaving around june-july in 09 and im really going to miss him. having another guitar teacher in his place just won't do for me, but ill have to cope. im determined to give him a distinction for my grade 5 exam before he leaves for a long period of 1 and a half year. and im definately working towards that.

music is not just about playing, its about knowing what you play and being able to create your own music. i simply love the fact that i can listen to any song and pick up what they're playing, soon enough, even without tabs, id be playing something similar to the song. the knowledge that ive gained in music just makes the whole thing alot more fun and interesting, at the same time adding on to my passion.

technique's one thing, creativity and feeling's another. who cares if you can shred your ass off, or tap like some monster, play without feeling, and you'd suck. ive sucked before, and i still suck at times, so i know =) to all you guitar players there, continue to play and learn with humility towards the passion. i find it really irritating to be hearing players scorning one another because of their playing skills, there's always someone better than you. i try my best to be humble in my passion even when i see others who may not be of the same level of play. there's always something to learn and there's always someone better than you.

once music comes to you, learning other instruments wont be a big problem anymore. they all can make sounds and melodies, some in different ways from others.
